I first discovered hematite jewelry when I was in Free-port,Bahamas. I really liked the smokey look. I bought several rings while there. I even had a custom made choker, ankle and wrist bracelets made for my girl friend. Much to my dismay, the rings all broke. That's when I found your web site, I had to replace the rings I gave my girl, she was heart broken. I was searching for a turtle necklace...but allow me to tell you how this came about.
My boyfriend and I had been together about a year, and he cherished this little stone turtle necklace almost as much as we cherished our relationship. One day, the cording that had held the necklace around his neck, and as he put it, so close to his heart, broke, and the necklace fell to the floor with a shatter. We looked at one another, and I could see the hurt in his eyes, so naturally, I went into "fix-it" mode. I think that partly comes from being a teacher and a woman. Anyhow, after numerous apologies from him, I said that I would replace it and we could make new memories with the new necklace. Little did I know how those so easily uttered words would haunt me?
I began searching for this little turtle necklace, planning on giving him the new one on our one-year anniversary. I searched everywhere.... stores in malls, little shops and sometimes the most insane places. Finally, I broke down and resorted to the Internet. I am not really a computer person, so this was a big step for me. I typed in what I was looking for on Goggle and was inundated with results. Yes! However, I would soon come to realize that so many of these places that seemed to have what I wanted didn't have it for the price I wanted to pay. I was somewhat aware of how much the original necklace was, and it is not that I am stingy, but some of the places were so expensive or only wanted to sell in mass quantities that it was very frustrating. I came across KVK Designs and began to search. The site was so easy to navigate around, and when it appeared on the screen before me, this little stone turtle, I began to literally shout for joy in my house...causing those around me to wonder. I just said that things were working out. I called the number that was listed there, not knowing that I was calling from Chicago to New Jersey. I left a message and crossed my fingers. What happened next was amazing. I received a call back from Kristin, and she told me that yes, the necklace I was looking for was something she made, and yes, it could be shipped to my home in the short amount of time I had left after my long search. I could not thank her enough.
On Saturday, the 6th of December, my necklaces came in the mail...and I was able to surprise my boyfriend with them. His eyes lit up and mine welled up. It was our first new memory with them, and I told him a bout my search for them. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness, promptness, and the over-all most pleasant experience I have ever had. I will definitely be a frequent visitor to KVK Designs, not only because it was so easy to navigate for someone like me who is technologically challenged, but also because the experience as a whole was so wonderful Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the fabulous new memories we are making with these necklaces, and for all you did for me.
