Ancient Chinese coins did not emerge as independent coins until the Han Dynasty. These charms may have included markings denoting the type of currency, or references to good luck and special events. The reverse side often indicated the mint where the coins were produced.

This necklace features an antique Chinese coin measuring 1.18 inches suspended from a 24-inch antique brass chain. The total length of the necklace is 25 inches.
